Official Bio

Kristina McCalla is a designer, speaker, belonging builder and community leader whose work explores the connection between home, belonging, beauty, faith, and purpose. She is the founder and CEO of Rooted Interiors, a national nonprofit organization that furnishes and designs homes for families rebuilding after homelessness.

Drawing from her background in interior design and nonprofit leadership, Kriss speaks and writes about what it means to create spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and like they belong. Her signature message, The Home We Carry, challenges audiences to think about home as more than a physical place—and to consider the ways we create a sense of home through leadership, hospitality, community, and everyday life.

Kriss' work has been featured by CBS News Atlanta, Braselton News, 11Alive News, Atlanta Live, and she is actively involved in community leadership throughout Northeast Georgia. She lives in Georgia with her husband, Anthony, and their two children, Elliet and Oliver.
